Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 9, 2026
Psyched, Inc. (“Psyched,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a behavioral insights platform for therapy. Psyched helps users capture mood, reflections, meaningful moments, therapy-prep items, calendar context, and optional health-related signals so they can better understand what happens between therapy sessions.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you. This policy applies to psychedhealth.com, the Psyched mobile app, beta products, therapist dashboard features, and related services.
Psyched is currently in beta. We are building the platform with privacy, security, and HIPAA-readiness in mind, but Psyched does not claim to be HIPAA compliant unless and until the required legal, infrastructure, operational, and contractual safeguards are in place.

If you visit psychedhealth.com, join a waitlist, submit a contact form, or communicate with us, we may collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Message content
- Information you choose to provide
- Basic technical information such as browser, device, IP address, referral page, and site interaction data
We use this information to respond to you, manage waitlists, provide updates, improve the website, and operate Psyched.
Account information
If you create a Psyched account, we may collect:
- Email address
- Display name
- Authentication identifier
- Account settings
- Subscription or access status
- Password reset and verification status
Passwords are handled through authentication providers and are not visible to Psyched in plain text.
Patient app information
If you use the Psyched app, we may collect information you choose to enter, including:
- Mood check-ins
- Mood scores and mood labels
- Feelings, tags, and contributors
- Daily notes
- Journal entries
- Interaction or “something happened” entries
- People or relationship types you choose to name
- Event timing
- Intensity ratings
- Recovery or “how long it stuck” responses
- Therapy-prep selections
- Therapy goals
- Session-prep notes
- User settings and reminder preferences
- Optional alcohol, exercise, sleep, connection, withdrawal, and goal follow-through fields if you enable them
Some app information may be sensitive. You should only enter information you are comfortable storing in Psyched.
Calendar information
If you choose to connect a calendar, Psyched may access calendar information to provide features such as schedule context, event-based reflections, calendar-load insights, and therapy-prep prompts.
Depending on the calendar provider and permissions you grant, this may include:
- Calendar account connection status
- Calendar account email
- Event IDs
- Event titles
- Event start and end times
- Event source, such as Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook Calendar
- Derived event categories, such as Work, Family, Social, or Therapy
Psyched uses calendar information only to provide or improve user-facing features inside Psyched. Psyched does not sell calendar data, use calendar data for advertising, or use calendar data for unrelated data-mining purposes.
For Google Calendar, Psyched requests access only after you authorize it. You can disconnect Google Calendar through your Google Account settings or through Psyched settings where available.
Apple Health and HealthKit information
If you choose to connect Apple Health, Psyched may request permission to read certain health and fitness data, such as:
- Sleep analysis
- Workouts
- Apple Exercise Time
- Heart rate
Psyched uses this information to support user-facing features such as sleep summaries, exercise context, mood-pulse prompts, and body-signal reflection prompts.
Psyched does not use Apple Health or HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, or unrelated data mining. Psyched does not sell Apple Health data. Psyched does not write false or inaccurate data into HealthKit. Psyched does not store personal health information in iCloud.
Where possible, Psyched minimizes health-data handling by using derived summaries rather than raw samples. Certain raw health samples are not shared with therapists unless you explicitly enable a future permissioned sharing option that allows that level of detail.
You can revoke Apple Health permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
Speech and microphone information
If you choose to use voice input, Psyched may access your microphone and speech recognition services only while you are actively using that feature.
Psyched uses speech input to convert what you say into editable check-in text. Psyched does not intend to retain raw audio recordings after speech input is processed.
AI-related information
Some Psyched features may use backend-mediated AI to help organize, summarize, classify, or phrase user-facing reflections and therapy-prep content.
When AI features are enabled, Psyched may send selected structured signals or selected entry text to Psyched’s backend and AI service providers to generate the requested feature. Psyched does not place AI keys in the mobile app. AI calls are routed through Psyched-controlled backend services.
Psyched’s AI features are not therapy, diagnosis, crisis monitoring, clinical decision-making, or medical advice. AI-generated outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate. They should be treated as reflection aids or possible discussion prompts, not clinical conclusions.
Therapist dashboard and sharing information
Psyched is designed around patient-controlled sharing.
A therapist does not automatically see your private entries. If therapist-sharing features are enabled, you choose whether to share information, which therapist to share with, and what level of detail to share.
Depending on your choices, shared information may include:
- Summary-level insights
- Weekly or session-prep snapshots
- Mood trends
- Event or interaction summaries
- Calendar-derived summaries
- Therapy-prep items
- Selected journal excerpts
- Selected interaction text
- Selected person names
- Selected calendar event titles
- Selected health or recovery summaries
Sharing permissions are intended to be scoped, revocable, and auditable. Future therapist dashboard features may maintain access logs for sensitive access.

We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
With service providers
We may share information with vendors that help us operate Psyched, such as hosting providers, authentication providers, cloud infrastructure providers, email tools, payment processors, analytics or security tools, and AI processing providers.
These providers are permitted to process information only to provide services to Psyched and must protect information appropriately.
With therapists or care providers when you authorize sharing
If you choose to share information with a therapist or care provider through Psyched, we may make the authorized information available to that therapist or provider. You control what is shared where the product makes sharing controls available.

Psyched does not:
- Sell Google user data
- Use Google user data for advertising

6. Consumer Health Data
Some information collected by Psyched may be considered consumer health data under certain state privacy laws. This may include mood information, therapy-prep content, mental health reflections, sleep data, exercise data, heart-rate-derived prompts, recovery information, or similar information you provide or authorize.
We collect and use this information only as described in this Privacy Policy. We do not sell consumer health data. We do not use consumer health data for advertising or unrelated profiling.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, delete, correct, or withdraw consent for certain consumer health data. You can contact us using the contact method below.
7. Data Storage and Retention
Psyched aims to minimize the sensitive information it stores.
During beta, some information may be stored locally on your device, and some information may be synced to Psyched backend services when you are signed in or use cloud-connected features.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, operate the product, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and enforce agreements.
You may request deletion of your Psyched data by contacting us. Some information may be retained where required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or legitimate operational purposes.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. These may include authentication controls, encrypted transmission, backend-mediated AI calls, restricted access, logging controls, and other security measures.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Psyched cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. HIPAA Status
Psyched is designed to support privacy-conscious behavioral insight and therapy-prep workflows. Psyched is not automatically a HIPAA-covered entity or business associate simply because users enter health-related information.
If Psyched contracts with a covered health care provider, health plan, or other HIPAA-regulated entity to create, receive, maintain, or transmit protected health information on that entity’s behalf, HIPAA obligations may apply and separate agreements, safeguards, and notices may be required.
Until those requirements are in place, Psyched should not be used as a HIPAA-compliant system of record or as a replacement for a provider’s clinical documentation system.

11. Children and Minors
